I will observe baby feeding and assess baby's latch right  from the comfort of your home. I can then assist with latch and positioning. Virtual consults are an option as well.

Are you a new postpartum mama? Having difficulty with baby's latch? Are you worried about your milk supply? Sore nipples or experiencing pain? Not seeing weight gain? Pumping questions or issues?

Are you returning to work and need to know how much milk baby needs while you're away? Have you heard of paced bottle feeding? Need help talking to your employer or your childcare provider about feeding and pumping needs?

If you have come across Sierra and her lactation services, consider yourself fortunate. She is very knowledgeable when it comes to breastfeeding and transitioning into motherhood in general. Not only did she help me feel supported during the 4th trimester, she was also able to provide me with information on how to make breastfeeding easier, how to establish and maintain  a regular schedule, as well as she educated me on ways to connect with the baby and my other little one while fighting sleep deprivation. More services as such should be offered to mothers. I left our session feeling like an empowered  Momma ready to concur breastfeeding and parenting!

My name is Sierra and I am the owner of MelaMama, LLC. I service the Indianapolis, IN area. I am a wife, mother to 2 amazing boys, registered nurse, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, and child passenger safety technician.

I have always had a passion for breastfeeding but the birth of my first son grew my passion and love I have for lactation. This led me to become a Certified Lactation Counselor then on to become an IBCLC. A passion grew inside of me for normalizing breastfeeding for all mothers. I find that it's so often mamas get home and need help with breastfeeding but don't get the help they need because of not wanting to travel out with baby or simply not knowing where to go. I want to be that bridge to help alleviate the stress of being a new mama and packing up everything to get to an appointment.

I provide services in the comfort of your home, virtually, and and in an office setting. I truly believe breastfeeding is a gift for your children as well as yourself and mamas need more support. Let me help begin your successful journey of breastfeeding. I want you to accomplish all of your breastfeeding goals.
